A couple of weeks ago Ultra Music Festival took to Facebook, Twitter and many other social media outlets to let the world know they would be releasing Early Bird tickets, priced at $149.95, for Ultra 2014 on May 7th. This left thousands of “Ultranauts” sitting at their computers anxiously waiting for the countdown to drop to zero to be able to get their hands on Early Bird tickets on May 7th. (more…)

Will I am: Ruthless thief or Notorious Drunk?

As a kind of aftershock on stealing Arty’s and Mat Zo’s ‘Rebound‘ and bluntly stealing Sandro Silva’s and Quintino’s ‘Epic’ for the tracks on his latest album #Willpower we found this in the archives. Have a look at this funny interview on which Will makes a lot of silly statements while being drunk. He makes a fool out of himself a little.

WIll.I.Am clearly states the fact that he wants to keep as many beats to himself as possible. We should have seen it coming! [01:36]

exQlusiv Review: I AM HARDWELL

Hardwell played at I AM Hardwell, his first ever solo concert tour, on the 27th of April. In short, this tour is all about to show who Robbert van der Corput (Hardwell) really is, and it is safe to say that he showed it pretty well on the first edition of this promising tour.

After weeks of preparation and patiently waiting it was finally going to happen on that particular Saturday night. The sold-out Heineken Musical Hall in Amsterdam was ready for I AM Hardwell. Arriving somewhere around 22:30 I instantly noticed how crowded it already was. Even though the normal lights were yet to be turned off at the venue the atmosphere was already pretty amazing. The Dutch newspaper ‘ Spits’ headed that ‘the visitors were to get served an audiovisual spectacle’ so there was nothing to worry about.

Update:

The new King of The Netherlands Willem-Alexander and his Queen Maxima made an unscheduled stop together with their 3 kids to visit Armin van Buuren on stage while he was playing with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.

The day before the crowning
World no.1 Dj Armin van Buuren will perform on Tuesday along with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra during a concert in Amsterdam for the coronation of the new king Willem-Alexander. All 15,000 tickets have been sold and now the big day is approaching fast. Armin therefore starts to become a little nervous. “It’s not that much yet, but I think I will become more nervous tomorrow,” he says in the morning show of Edwin Evers, a DJ from Radio538.

Last monday, Armin and the orchestra have practiced everything at the Concertgebouw. “It was very special, I even brought my father with me and he isn’t into dance music like I am, but he is a fan of classical music though. He loved it, of course. “

Armin van Buuren plays this Tuesday with the orchestra, which is fairly new to him. “It is really exciting and I’m nervous about it. But I’m ready for it and I am really looking forward to it. “

Video: Daft Punk – The Collaborators [Episode 6]

The 4th episode of Daft Punk’s ‘The Collaborators’ with Pharell Williams, the one you saw earlier this weekend in the new teasers of ‘Get Lucky‘ & Lose Yourself to Dance

Pharrell Williams has really captured the essence of the new Daft Punk album in this episode of “The Collaborators.” He manages to give us a vivid, first person account as to what is in store for us. Many artists reflect on and compliment the works of others, but for some reason I feel this sense of greater understanding in Pharell; I feel connected on a personal level to his thoughts and emotions towards music. His understanding of, and divine connection, to music is one that almost any human being can relate to, no matter where you come from or what music you listen to. I love how descriptive and intimate he is on the subject of Daft Punk’s return. Pharrell believes that music today has lost its soul. He says that Daft Punk is taking a step upwards by going back to a magical time in which music, and its liveliness, is what moved people. He also described music today as synthetic, and missing “a gut.” He describes the new Daft Punk as music that is representative to the freedom of all human beings, and that it belongs to the entire globe. According to Mr. Williams, Daft Punk has chosen to stay, here with us on Earth. After watching this video, I’ve grown in a great amount of respect for him. I not only look forward to the entire album, but I am also excited to see how much Pharrell will grow after this extraterrestrial contribution.

Daft Punk released the third episode of their series where the collaborators of the album will speak about the upcoming album of Daft Punk ‘Random Access Memories’ and their perfection and passion for making music.
