This week we have chosen: Man With The Red Face by Mark Knight & Funkagenda!

Man With The Red Face has been an all time classic for me. It doesn’t matter where or when I play it, this track never gets boring to me. There is so much going on in this track. I think that is why they needed over 10 minutes for this track. The housey stabs combined with a techy beat keeps you moving and the saxophone in this track added a kind of epicness in the track, which I miss very much nowadays. It’s not a prime-time club banger, but this track has been played out a lot on the biggest festivals and in the biggest clubs. When this track finds its way out of the speakers, I always get this amazing feeling of joy and happiness and belonging. Especially when you are on a big festival with your best friends.

The version of Mark Knight & Funkagenda is a remake of the original ‘Man With The Red Face’ by Laurent Garnier. When I heard the track from Mark Knight & Funkagenda for the first time, I didn’t heard the original track from Laurent Garnier yet. I looked it up on Youtube and found an amazing video of a Live performance by Laurent Garnier, playing Man With The Red Face. That is why i decided to add this video to the post as well. Enjoy!
