We must be dreaming; the French DJ duo Daft Punk is going to perform live tomorrow evening! It’s been an entire 6 years since the Grammy award-winning dj’s were on stage, playing for thousands of fans. The duo is finally going to make their comeback at the SXSW music festival in Austin, Texas USA.
The most recent achievement of the French duo dates all the way back to 2009, when they scored the soundtrack of the motion picture named, “TRON Legacy.” During that year, Daft Punk also won two Grammys for the “best dance album” and “best dance record” (Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger).
Last year, the first rumors of their long-awaited return had begun to surface. This year, Daft Punk has confirmed an up-coming album release by signing with Columbia Records, one of Sony’s music labels. Earlier this month, American television viewers watched a short teaser of Daft Punk’s new song on the show “Saturday Night Live.” All of these events, in addition to the massive posters that have emerged all over Austin this week, have indicated that the mystical outer-space DJ Duo will touch down on Earth once more. We are more than confident to announce that this is going to happen tomorrow at SXSW Music Festival. To whomever is going, have an amazing time! You’re apart of history.
