Some DJs have not only developed their own style of music over the years, but also their own dance moves. We have highlighted the most notable DJ dance moves and gave them a name. Have you also noticed a DJ dance move? Please add it in the comments!
Sebastian Ingrosso
This Swedish Superstar DJ and part of Swedish House Mafia knows how to entertain the crowd. He loves them so much, he’s trying to bless them with his left hand while throwing his right hand in the air as much as possible! Watch ‘The Ingrosso’ below. Special thanks to Fil Vogl.
When Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell are together, they form a dynamic dancing-duo, ready to compete with the best dancers in the world!
Armin van Buuren
Number 1 DJ of the world Armin van Buuren is known for his sober appearance, but when he plays music he goes crazy! He brings lots of energy to all the clubs and festivals where he’s playing. His recognizable dance move is throwing both hands up in the air and jump on the beat of the music. When he wants the crowd go nuts, he waves his hands up and down while spreading his arms like wings of a plane.
Armin van Buuren likes to share as much as he can with his fans, so he wants the fans to know which headphones he is using!

Carl Cox
In the following video Carl Cox appears to entertain the audience not only with his music and his dance moves. His British accent and his interaction with this japanese crowd gives them the energie to go wild.
Carl Cox is a man of many talents. He doesn’t only dance behind the decks, in the following TV show he also does his moves! Special thanks to Marco Hurtado!
Axwell
Axwell doesn’t seem to have any special dance moves. As you can see in the following move he dances like any other ordinary dj. You can tell he is being professional by keeping his concentration on the decks and he’s dancing around like he is having a good time. Can anybody tell us what that guy is talking about at 0:30?
The move Axwell is best known for isn’t actually a dance move. It’s more of a Geordi La Forge from Startrek kind of thing. Axwell wears his headband in front of his face instead of on top off his head. It’s almost become his trademark. When you see another DJ doing this move, it’s like he is trying to imitate Axwell. Why do you think he does it? Is he trying to prevent the club lights shining in his eyes? Or is he doing it because it’s just his move?
