Moguai
If you think of Germany’s Rhine-Ruhr area you might perhaps think of closed coal-mines, football and beer in the first place, but these regions have far more to offer. Especially the electronic music scene between Düsseldorf and Dortmund is very vibrant and Moguai is definitely one of its most important representatives. Living in quiet Recklinghausen, the ardent local patriot visits the whole world from there and has still never contemplated about turning his back on his hometown. This is only one of the reasons which make the man who was born André Tegeler so likable. In the first place it has been and still is his musical success which has made Moguai one of the most popular DJs and producers of our time.

Music
Moguai is a rare artis with such a big history that we only have time to tell you about his latest releases and succeses. In November 2011 was the wel received  release of ‘Oxygen’ – the first single to be taken from his forthcoming studio album, due January 2012. Complete with a stunning remix package and official video, and with the breathtaking vocal expertise of Fiora at hand, the style is back to the ‘Mau5trap Moguai’ of old, but with all of the benefits you’d expect from a producer with that many more months studio experience under his belt. Melodic, haunting, deep and spine tingling, the Moguai/Fiora combination is pure bliss for the eardrums.

January 2012 Was the release of the long expected Mpire album. which was a pretty big deal because not many producers get handpicked by deadmau5 to conjure a full length artist album for his prestigious mau5trap imprint; so for German specialist Moguai to get the nod twice in as many years is one hefty testament to the sheer quality, imagination and originality of his musical output. The album was very well received through out the international blog community.

Tourdates
Moguai’s expertise and successes haven’t just been confined to his studio work though. As thousands of fans from all corners of the globe will attest, he truly is a technical wizard behind the decks. Throughout 2011 he has demonstrated performance flair to exquisite effect; with a hugely successful US tour, a jam-packed Asian excursion and a smattering of colossal European festivals under his belt already, there have been very few stones left unturned when it comes to his LYVE showdowns. From the States, South America, Russia and Ibiza to the whole of Europe, the Far East and even Beatport HQ, there are very few territories Moguai hasn’t yet conquered. As he tears toward ’12, there is yet another North America Tour to look forward to for our State-side friends that missed out earlier in the year.
