The first time you heard about Amba Shepherd probably was when her name came up on ‘Vandalism’, where she did a great job together with Porter Robinson. She hasn’t stood still since then. Her input on Apollo, teaming up with Hardwell is probably THE best track of early 2013. Apollo didn’t only take-over the big room clubs it was probably made for, but is also heavily played on the radio.

It is safe to say that Amba is one of the best performing vocalists out there right now. Having collaborated with Hardwell, Ferry Corsten, Porter Robinson, Starkillers, Mikkas, Tom Swoon and Lazy Rich shows she has been doing very well for herself this year.

After missing out on Ultra Music Festival because of their passports that were taken away by the Swedish police Dada Life is finally free again. Their passports have been granted back after being called ‘a threat to national security’. It seems the Swedish police took their petition for a sovereign nation called Dada Land, a bit too seriously. The Swedish Duo has passed the airport security and are now on their way to Dublin to play their first gig abroad since almost a month.

Okay, so maybe you can argue that New York City isn’t the best city in the world but you absolutely cannot argue that Electric Zoo will feature the best DJs in the world. With Made Event’s recent lineup release, the festival’s Main Stage East and Main Stage West Headliners encompass 5 of the top 6 artists in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs of 2012: Armin Van Buuren (1), Tiesto (2), Avicii (3), David Guetta (4), and Hardwell (6). In fact, only 9 out of the 30 headliners do not appear on that Top 100 list: Flux Pavillion, Showtek, Excision, Otto Knows, Bassnectar, Cazzette, Krewella, Diplo, and Rusko. These 9 DJs are still all incredible artists and it’s safe to say that most of them will end up on DJ Mag’s 2013 version. Regardless of rankings, or lack thereof, these DJs make up the most impressive E Zoo lineup so far and that is testament to the founders’ commitment to “improving the Electric Zoo experience”. Swedish Superstar Avicii released his Promo Mix for 2013 as a sort of retaliation on the criticism that  was casted on him because of his extraordinary liveset on ULTRA Music Festival in Miami a few weeks ago. After warming up his set for about 10 minutes he surprised the fans, in a to us unique way, by bringing a live-band on stage.  Unfortunately there are always people in the scene that don’t  appreciate the creativity of this unconventional set. People that would much rather listen to a 1 hour loop of Levels. The Promo Mix includes new Avicii tracks that will be released on his long-awaited album so make sure you check it out!

30,000 souls gathered in Brabanthallen of Den Bosch, bursting with energy and love for music. They were part of history, witnessing the biggest trance event in Europe.” – A State Of Trance

It was finally happening on saturday the 6th of April, the latest edition of ASOT 600 was about to begin in the Brabanthallen, Den Bosch in the Netherlands. When we arrived, we were treated well as press. Lockers were reserved for us and there was a special room where interviews were held with artists who performed at ASOT. This was also the place where we could take a break from the hard work and have a drink.

When the audience needed to take a break, they had the opportunity to go to a chill-out Area with places to eat, drink and chill. It was decorated with palm trees to make sure the visitors were feeling like they were in paradise.
