The world’s most renowned trance artist and 5-time #1 DJ in the world, Armin van Buuren released his 5th studio album today: ‘Intense’. The new album includes 16 all-new Armin songs including the single premiered during his Ultra Music Festival set ‘This is What it Feels Like‘ featuring Trevor Guthrie.  During our coverage ASOT 600 Den Bosch Armin dropped many new teasers off of his upcoming album that our exQlusiv crew were able to expeience first hand. One just has to wonder how he can tour the world constantly and create a 16 song masterpiece. I suppose that’s a secret reserved for the number one DJ in the world.

Update: 

The new King of The Netherlands Willem-Alexander and his Queen Maxima made an unscheduled stop together with their 3 kids to visit Armin van Buuren on stage while he was playing with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.

The day before the crowning
World no.1 Dj Armin van Buuren will perform on Tuesday along with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra during a concert in Amsterdam for the coronation of the new king Willem-Alexander. All 15,000 tickets have been sold and now the big day is approaching fast. Armin therefore starts to become a little nervous. “It’s not that much yet, but I think I will become more nervous tomorrow,” he says in the morning show of Edwin Evers, a DJ from Radio538.

Last monday, Armin and the orchestra have practiced everything at the Concertgebouw. “It was very special, I even brought my father with me and he isn’t into dance music like I am, but he is a fan of classical music though. He loved it, of course. “

Armin van Buuren plays this Tuesday with the orchestra, which is fairly new to him. “It is really exciting and I’m nervous about it. But I’m ready for it and I am really looking forward to it. “

Update: Armin van Buuren is rehearsing with ‘het concertgebouw orkest’ for the coronation of Prince Willem-Alexander.

Armin van Buuren has been invited by the Dutch Royal Family to attend the crowning of Prince Willem-Alexander during Queensday (Dutch: Koninginnedag) on the 30th of April. Armin himself told NU.nl that he has no clue why he has been picked by the family to illuminate this once-in-a-lifetime event, but he heard that the royal couple is very much into his music.

The King of Trance will oversee how the Dutch Prince will be crowned King, and is going to play a set right after the event, to celebrate Holland’s brand new King. Armin will be performing together with the orchestra of the ‘Orkestgebouw’, so it seems like something special is waiting for us! The last king stepped off the throne in 1890, so after decades ruled by Queens, it is finally time for the Netherlands to have a King on the throne once again.
