Today it’s been exactly one month since the release of Dirty South’s (Born Dragan Roganović) long awaited Album, but ‘Speed of Life’ still dominates the hearts of most people in the scene. With releases collaborating with Thomas Gold on ‘Alive’ and ‘Walking Alone’ but moreover teaming up with Alesso on ‘City of Dreams’ the Australian-based Producer made the expectations on ‘Speed of Life’ run extremely high. A lot of great dance music has been produced over the years. To ensure that these tracks will never be forgotten, we will post a once-thriving track every Thursday! We feel it’s a necessary refreshment of the past that will be sure to bring back memories. Hopefully it will give you the same awesome feelings that it had once given us. This week we have chosen: Dirty South‘s remix of Watch Out by Ferry Corsten!

Most of you know Dirty South as an unprecedented remixer, collaborator, DJ, (and ultimately) a progressive-house mastermind. Last month marked the release of his debut album, ‘Speed Of Life,’ which became an instant hit throughout the dance music community; setting the tempo high for the long summer to follow. His current sound is recognized by his uplifting, energetic melodies and blissful song lyrics. Many fans, though, are unaware that Mr. South has been producing and spinning much longer than thought; nearly a decade to be exact. His first release, “Sleazy,” dates all the way back to 2005. The next year, he released his first EP in addition to 13 remixes; one of which was his remix of Ferry Corsten’s “Watch Out.” Dirty South put a deep acid twist on this disco-house hit, which contributed to his immense popularity. A year later, he was crowned Australia’s “Most Popular Producer.” Since then, he’s grown into one of the largest & most successful EDM acts in the world.
