LOS ANGELES (February 12, 2013) — GRAMMY-nominated, Australian DJ, musician and producer Dirty South has announced that he will release his first full-length studio album, “Speed of Life,” on March 5, 2013 exclusively on iTunes. Known for his infections singles and chart-topping remixes for the likes of Snoop Dogg, U2, Diddy Dirty Money and more than 50 artists in total, Dirty South will release a 10-track album of emotionally charged numbers inspired by his travels while touring and featuring collaborations with a number of talented artists.
“I made this album on the road while touring so everything around me inspired me to come up with the sounds that are on this record,” said Dirty South. “I collaborated with some very talented people, which made it really fun and special and I am very proud of the outcome. I can’t wait for the world to hear it!”
After being released March 5 exclusively on iTunes, “Speed of Life” will then be released on CD March 18 and through all digital retailers the following months. It was recently announced that Dirty South, who just wrapped the biggest North American tour of his career selling out such iconic venues as Hollywood’s Palladium and the Roseland Ballroom in New York City, will host a residency at Wynn Las Vegas daylife and nightlife venues Encore Beach Club and XS nightclub in 2013 — he made his residency debut February 1 at XS. Additionally, Dirty South was recently announced as a performer at this year’s 15th Annual Ultra Music Festival in Miami happening March 15 — 17 and March 22 — 24.
Dragan Roganovic, known as Dirty South, is a Serbian-born, Australian-based DJ, producer and songwriter whose acclaimed work has received such honors as two GRAMMY nominations, two ARIA nominations (Australian Music Industry’s top accolade) and a “Best Producer” trophy from the inthemix top 50 awards, among others. He has made a name for himself as a producer, musician and DJ, having produced, collaborated or remixed for the likes of Snoop Dogg, Pussycat Dolls, Kaskade, U2, Diddy Dirty Money, The Temper Trap, David Guetta, Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell and more than 50 artists in total. Recent production credits include three tracks on British recording artist Example’s latest album “The Evolution of Man” and one track on his previous album “Playing in the Shadows.”
Dragan got his start at the early age of 13 growing up in Melbourne, Australia. Influenced by everything around him, the artist started improvising with his old NEC Hi-Fi and mixing with the tape decks, and then started making bootlegs and mashups, which eventually lead to getting a computer, software and keyboard that resulted in his first official production in 2004 as Dirty South. The DJ/producer has gone on to play for some of the best clubs and festivals across the globe, including Ultra Music Festival, Pacha in Ibiza and New York, Ministry of Sound and more. At the end of 2012, he wrapped the largest North American tour of his career, the “City of Dreams” tour, which included sold-out shows at the iconic Hollywood Palladium and New York City’s Roseland Ballroom. With only a few short years under his belt in the international production scene, Dirty South’s potential to achieve tremendous musical heights seems limitless.
