Album Review: People of the Night by An21 & Max Vangeli

I remember the first time i came in contact with the music of An21 and Max vangeli. It was at Mysteryland festival were they played in the energy tent. I remember this because i got the goosebumps from the first track they played. When i got back home and started listening to more of their music online and i found the track that gave me the goosebumps. We had posted it on exQlusiv under the name “Sound from the depths” because this suitable name was originally intended for this track. The track name was changed after the track unintentionally got deleted and they had to make a “Fresh start”. Sinds then i started listening to live sets by AN21 & Max vangeli. My favorite set still remains their Essential mix they did for BBC Radio 1.

For me this is definitely not a album i would put in the cd player when i’m trowing a party and i would like my guest to start dancing. This is more the kind of album i would listen to in my car. I love the way these guys are not following the new house music trends and they are keeping their own sound unique by not hammering it out on every track. It’s not always about how can make the most energetic sound.
