With The Netherlands such a power-house of modern electronic music and with a strong close knit community of artists and labels, it comes as somewhat of a surprise that “Hiphouse” marks a rejected debut for Kabale und Liebe and Lauhaus. Its a brave producer that chooses to match one of hip-hops legendary and most cherished vocals with their fresh beats, but our fearless duo have taken care to show huge respect in creating a club cut that is set to dominate the floors for many months to come. Deep and groovy, the original is backed by a Kabale und Liebe & Lauhaus Dub and an essential ‘Vocopella’ version. Rejected have also drafted in Paco Osuna on the remix and the Spaniard takes “Hip House” on a bassbin-bustin’crescendo-topping workout.
